It would be really cool to have some of the stars of star trek make some special appearances in the game with there own voices in the game .:)

Not sure if you mean the Star's themselves or the characters they play?
We surely will run into the cast of the various Treks (even the TOS crew, maybe even the Enterprise crew). But afraid we won't be hearing their voices, because the Devs havn't indicated that NPCs will be able to speak, like those in Everquest 2. (Besides, getting the Cast of Star Trek would be expensive).
As for the actual cast members themselves, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if a couple of them actually played STO. Because there are some that are Star Trek fans themselves, like Tim Russ (Tuvok). So you never know if they might come on to chat with the Trek Fans, or they might be your best friend and you wouldn't even know it.

It's possible, maybe. Depending on how they incorporate voices into the game (if they even do). On top of that, this is 30 years after Nemesis, so who knows what's happened during that period from Nemesis till the time STO takes place, a lot of characters may not even be around anymore.

Just give me Uhura and her fan dance, when she was young, not now. Actually give me pretty much any female cast member and a fan dance. I'm easy to please.

Oh, I have a feeling Q is still out and about... Guinan too.

I agree...STO takes place 30 years after Nemesis and Cryptic has said a few times that characters from the different series are either dead from old age or on the verge of it...so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I would like to hear Majel Barrett Roddenberry's voice (even a small part- shuttle computer voice). That would make me happy.

I suppose the "younger" officers would still be around, a couple may even be Admirals or something. Such as Tom Paris, could be Admiral Paris or something if he's still in Starfleet.

I do not generally agree with you, in fact I find Ferengi to generally be off-putting (the smells alone...) but on this you and I concur.

the fact that they would be old or dead is moot due to the fact that this is trek. hello time travel is likely (accidental or otherwise) it is possible that we could meet members of any series under these circumstances

I think STO should really endeavor to get at least one actor to do the game before it is released. Like Robert Picardo to do the Doctor, he can help us through our tutorial (as there will indefinetly be one) and then be stationed somewhere that we can visit him throughout the game (Jupiter Station? Earth? Wherever). Maybe the Klingons could get J.G. Hertzler to voice Martok's son or something for the Klingon side in a similar fashion.

Honestly if you got an order from Admiral Janeway once in a while that might be cool (we know she will live 30 more years because of the last episode of Voyager)...or if Admiral Riker sent you on some secret mission (we also know he will be around cause of the last episode of TNG).
What about the holodecks? You could see anyone.
I like the idea as long as it is not overly saturated. Minor characters would be cool too...like the Duras Family coming back...or the Female Founder...we will just have to wait and see.

This is such a good idea. Using the Doc would be sooooooo coooool!!!

It wouldn't be moot...Cryptic, ie the creators of the game, have said it is unlikely due to age/death. If they are saying it is unlikely, then your optimism of it being "Trek" isn't going to sway my expectations until Cryptic hints otherwise.

I definitely agree, but I think that the guest stars should be limited so that the focus of the game remains on the player characters.

I used to Sell Tim Russ his video games at gamestop in west hollywood. He typically picked up a war game for himself and something simple for his kids. They would always ask him for help with stuff ... so cute. I don't know that he will play STO it's not really his taste. I can say that I know a number of people who will be playing it though ;) As far as voices go Robert Picardo is one of my favorite actors so having him reprise his role would just be awesome. Hooray for wishful thinking.

Quality idea. Almost the perfect tutorial voice, except possibly Brent Spiner as Data.

Not entirely true due to the fact that she alterd the timeline by going back and giving Voyager the tech to get back through borg space.

I'm not being optimistic merely pointing out that this is an actual option if they should decide to pursue it
