after reading the GI artical for the tenth time and after talking to my wife (an avid MMO player LOTR, WOW, COH/V, EQ) i have a question:
what r the group mission/ quest dynamics? from the article its clear the a group of players can beam down to a planet or other ship together to run a mission. but how do they get there? do you travel on your own ship? do you choose one persons ship (group leader maybe?)? Highest ranking officers ship? largest ship?
it would seem out of "trek" for 4 ships to group up and fly off to 1 location to do 1 mission. you rarely saw more that one ship "team up" in any series unless it was something major, a rondezvous (sp), or near a star base.
remember space is vast and even with a large fleet like starfleet it would be rare to just happen upon another vessel.
