So what do you expect out of Borg fights? I'd love to see allied vessels in droves dealing with a very numerically inferior Borg. That, of course, I think we can all expect. Additionally, an enemy vessel having been assimilated in the battle, instead of destroyed, then becomes an NPC vessel and turns on the Fleet.
Of course, despite my better judgement on not letting players be Borg, perhaps if their vessel is assimilated they're given a great deal of reward to turn on their own former comrades until the encounter is over, when they respawn or their vessel is destroyed.

Im hoping fighting a borg cube will be a wolf 359 event, rather than a sappy voyager 1 shot 1 kill type event!

I've decided that the Borg in Voyager were running off of those cheap generic batteries you get out of a remote control when you first buy it rather than some serious Energizer Bunny juice. Or perhaps they had assimilated Rastafaria IV and were more worried about curing the munchies than pursuing assimilation.

Then again though, the borg in 'Regeneration' (ent) were kick ass borg, from first contact. They were hard core during the film, but when they were warmed up, all it took was a warp 5 ship and a dog to sort them out

Even with the ridiculousness that was "Endgame", the Borg could probably rebound, and realizing the threat of Humanity being perhaps as dangerous to them as Species 8472, will probably be quite singular in their focus for quite some time. I think the Halloween following the release should be nothing but a massive push of Borg, all day and all night.

Ummmmmmmmmmm, for some reason I've got an impression of a borg, with a pumpkin on his head!

After the assimilation of Species 1031, from Cucurbit III, there are indeed many Borg with such inflated gourd-like craniums.
.....oh my godz.....I just realized I need a Mr. Tater Borg for my Mr. Potato Head collection.

If you've read that one book...Before Dishonor set in the Next Generation Era right after Voyager returns home...well...lets just say they have an interesting take on what happened to the Borg after "end game." Lets just say they weren't very happy that Voyager destroyed their queen and transwarp hubs :P
I'd like to see a big bad tactical cube in the game once in a while (not to often) come and harass us. As for the being assimilated part, well that could get interesting, just depends on how they do it. And if they are assimilated they get bonus points--no one can stand the power of borg cutting beams!

When it comes to fighting Borg cubes, I think four to six ships should suffice, whereas spheres could be one to three, depending on ship specialties.

Eh, Spheres are significantly weaker than that, I'd say 1 ship would come out of it fairly damaged, but two ships would be near overkill. Three? Not a threat. Mostly just based on softcanon experience of Armada, which is not truly a good example, of course.

Yeah, and voyager totaly ruined the whole hardness of the borg. I hope the game gives some type of hint of how the collective was created, because i'll be looking for there home world for sure

It'll end up being another 'time travel' headache. Watch. The Borg were created on Earth because of the Borg in the future leaving drones behind in First Contact, which led to their creation. *headdesk*

True, though it also depends on the ship. A Sovereign should be able to solo a sphere, but probably not a Nova.
I'm looking forward to repelling Borg invasions, though. I was hoping for random events like that.

Heck yeah, I think if there Equinox were fresh it'd have torn through a Sphere. It'd probably need repairs directly afterwards....but regardless.

I'm a Borg Activist. Borg are ppl to. we must save them all! lol
I'd like to see ppl get assimilated by borg. And they would make NPC borg copies of you with your name that would run around in the game, until died or saved. And there would be a list in game somewhere of what Borg got saved by whom in game. Not only would it be interesting. But also a great way to meet ppl!
They could do the same thing with starship like RookActual suggested.

I definitely would prefer for encounters with the Borg to be rare so that the battles they are involved in are truly epic.
