Bases?

Okay, we all know what starbases are. Now, do we all know what mobile bases are? I don't know if these actually made it on any TV series or movies even, but I do know they made it to games and the like. Now, the question would be are these even a concept or idea for the game? I only ask if these are even a concept because I know that as a society people don't always stay in one area, and these would be nice to get as a society or even as a soloist. As a soloist I would love to be able to purchase and construct a asteroid base and place it in a location close to the front lines, or even in the front lines where the PvP action would take place. Anyone have a thought or two that wants to share?

Almost forgot to describe them for those that don't know what they are lol. It is a starbase, but on a much smaller scale. Still does all the functions of a starbase, but it is not nearly as strong in the departments of weapons and shielding. I would also assume that while the do all the functions of a starbase, they would be somewhat limited to the ships that are not huge like the Battleships and Dreadnaughts. I would assume the largest classes that could dock with a mobile base would be those of the cruiser clases being the largest, but maybe also allow some larger mobile bases to allow the Dreadnaughts and Battleships docking privliges.
